Star Wars missing droids and X-wing piloting “Force” free…

Del Rey’s Operation Blue Milk is Revealed:”Star Wars: From A Certain Point of View”, and there has never been another Star Wars book like it.

Each story in “Star Wars: From A Certain Point of View” is told from the perspective of a background character in the films. Stories range from the Stormtroopers that never could quite find the droids they were looking for, to the X-Wing pilots who helped Luke destroy the Death Star.

Del Rey announced the 40th Anniversary Anthology of the unsung heroes, the villians, and weird characters we loved from Star Wars: A New Hope released in 1977. Since the release of the film 40 years ago, fans have been seeking the stories of the fantastic and very odd characters brought to life in the background of A New Hope.

40 Authors. 40 stories. Each and every story is being donated without compensation to support First Book, a leading nonprofit that provides new books, learning materials, and other essentials to educators and organizations serving children in need.

To further celebrate the launch of this book and both companies’ longstanding relationships with First Book, Penguin Random House has donated $100,000 to First Book, and Disney/Lucasfilm has donated 100,000 children’s books — valued at 1 million dollars — to support First Book and their mission of providing educational resources to children in need. Over the past 16 years, Disney has donated more than 57 million books to First Book.

Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View,  is coming October 2017.
